Group B was labeled as the ‘group of death’ by the community heading into VALORANT Champions, featuring top-performing teams. Sentinels faced elimination after losing their initial match against Gen G. However, they rallied back in their match against FunPlus Phoenix during day 7 of the tournament.
Despite FunPlus Phoenix’s map pick of Bind, Sentinels showcased a strong defensive strategy, securing nine rounds and maintaining map control. Their composition of Brimstone, Viper, and Gekko proved to be effective in preventing spike plants and dominating the opposition.
In the subsequent game on Lotus, Sentinels maintained their lead throughout, with a standout performance from Mohamed “johnqt” Amine Ouarid, clinching the victory with a remarkable 1v2 clutch.
Zachary “zekken” Patrone’s stellar performance earned him the MVP title of the series with a notable kill-to-death difference, leading Sentinels to victory and eliminating FunPlus Phoenix from the tournament.
In the lower bracket finals, Sentinels will face off against Gen G for a spot in the playoffs of VALORANT Champions 2024.

KRU Esports continued their success in VALORANT Champions 2024, defeating BiliBili Gaming in their first match. Despite a strong start by BiliBili Gaming on the Lotus map, KRU Esports turned the tide in their favor in the second half with a more aggressive playstyle.
The second game on Lotus saw KRU Esports secure a decisive victory, thanks to their strategic agent selection and exceptional individual performances, notably from Olavo “heat” Marcelo playing Gekko.
