Perion Labs has launched a groundbreaking gaming platform, XP.GG, where gamers can earn rewards by excelling in their favorite games. The highlight of XP.GG is the Universal Battle Pass, which spans across all XP.GG games. Additionally, the platform is set to support Talon Esports, a rising name in the gaming community. The official launch of XP.GG is scheduled for August 1st with Fortnite being the first game featured.
Amos Whitewolf, the co-founder of Perion and CTO of XP.GG, expressed excitement about the rewards system, stating, “The more levels gamers unlock, the more rewards they get, and the higher the chance they have of winning thousands of dollars of weekly prizes. Following the recent launch of Season 0 of the Universal Battle Pass, competitions for Counter-Strike 2 and Overwatch will commence in late August. More premier gaming titles such as League of Legends, Valorant, Dota 2, Apex Legends, Mobile Legends, PUBG, and AAA web3 games like Shrapnel are set to be added in the upcoming months. Perion has collaborated with game developers and esports teams like Talon Esports and GIANTX to ensure a diverse selection of high-quality games.
Perion Labs conducted an XP.GG prototype earlier this year to understand the preferences of gamers on a gaming platform. The prizes initially ranged from gaming currency to gaming consoles. Season 0 of the Universal Battle Pass offers prizes like a $6,000 gaming PC setup, a Fortnite-themed Secret Labs gaming chair, a PS5, a $1,000 CS2 knife, and more, totaling over $10,000 in value. The value of prizes will increase with each subsequent season as more gamers excel and receive rewards.
To kick off the project, Season 0 includes a special multiplier feature. Players who reach Level 5 in their Battle Pass will qualify for an attachment for future Seasons. Reaching Level 5 in Season 0 grants a 5% multiplier attachment in Season 1, while Level 10 grants a 10% multiplier attachment, and so on. The accumulated bonus from the previous Season will carry over to each new Season for players who sign up and reach Level 5 in Season 0.
