Fortnite is known for triggering FOMO (fear of missing out) among players. However, Epic Games recently announced a policy change that could benefit players who missed out on certain items in the past.
In a blog post, Epic Games revealed that items from previous battle passes could potentially be available in the Shop 18 months after the battle pass expires. This includes alternate styles and licensed outfits that players may have missed out on.
While not all items are guaranteed to make it to the Shop, Epic Games will inform players when certain items become available for purchase. This change aims to allow players to enjoy Battle Pass content, particularly outfits inspired by popular licensed characters.
Despite this change, the price of the battle pass will remain the same at 950 V-Bucks or $8.50, and the rewards will remain unchanged. This move benefits both players and Epic Games, as players have a chance to acquire missed items, while Epic Games can capitalize on popular items in the Shop.
However, the 18-month window for item availability in the Shop still retains an element of FOMO, as there’s no guarantee that all items will be added. Overall, this change provides a positive opportunity for players and Epic Games alike.
