The anticipated match between Gen G and Team Heretics saw Gen G emerge victorious during the VCT Masters Shanghai Grand Finale. In their recent encounter on Day 5, Gen G clinched a 13-11 win on the Abyss map, showcasing mastery in their unique team composition and strategic abilities.
Team Heretics, however, staged a remarkable comeback on the second map, eventually dominating on Bind with Gekko and Yoru tactics, securing a reverse sweep victory and their qualification for the playoffs.
DRX Cruise Past Fnatic to Secure Playoffs Spot
DRX faced off against Fnatic in a determined effort to secure their playoffs spot. DRX exhibited strong performance on Abyss, strategically using Kay/0 and Sova to secure a 13-11 win. The matchup continued on Lotus, where DRX’s dominance was evident, with BuZz delivering spectacular plays and securing an easy victory.
With these victories, Team Heretics and DRX have become the first two teams to secure a spot in the VALORANT Champions 2024 Playoffs.
