VALORANT is renowned for its stunning graphics and unique gameplay experience. Following the recent release of the game’s console version in a limited beta since June, fans have responded positively to VALORANT Console, leading to its availability in multiple regions worldwide. As we anticipate the upcoming VALORANT Patch 9.02, exciting changes are on the horizon for both the PC and console versions of the game. Let’s explore all the new updates in store for VALORANT Patch 9.02.
Introducing Toggleable Abilities in VALORANT Patch 9.02
VALORANT releases new updates every 2-3 weeks with the primary goal of fixing bugs in the game.
VALORANT Patch 9.02 focuses on introducing new features specific to VALORANT Console, some unique to the console version, and some already present in the PC version. VALORANT Console is now accessible to all PS5 and Xbox Series X users in select regions.
The highlight feature in Patch 9.02 for VALORANT Console is the addition of the Icebox map. Fans have eagerly awaited this map inclusion, as Icebox is one of the oldest maps from Episode 2. Players on VALORANT Console can now enjoy Icebox in Competitive, Unrated, Swift Play, and Deathmatch queues. New console players are recommended to try out agents like Jett, Phoenix, Viper, and Killjoy to familiarize themselves with the map.
Another significant addition for VALORANT Console is the Toggleable Abilities feature. During the limited beta, players encountered challenges with certain abilities that required holding down a button to activate, impacting movement within the game. To address this, VALORANT has introduced Toggleable Abilities, allowing players to activate specific abilities with a simple touch and release instead of holding down a button. Players can customize Toggleable Abilities for agents like Harbor, Phoenix, and Skye in the Agent Profile Settings on VALORANT Console.
Other Key Updates in Patch 9.02
Earlier, VALORANT released a video titled “Keeping Our Community Healthy,” outlining severe penalties for disrespectful behavior in the game. These penalty updates have now been implemented in VALORANT Patch 9.02. Additionally, new players on VALORANT PC have access to Basic Training (tutorial) and The Range from Console. All players, new and experienced, can benefit from the tutorial and training options available in the game to enhance their skills.
