Currently, there are different types of bosses in Fortnite. When it comes to the Medallion Bosses who drop the Chapter 5 Mythics, there are two main approaches. One method often leads to being third-partied, while the other offers a more efficient way to defeat a boss in Fortnite.
How to Easily Defeat a Boss in Fortnite
There are simpler ways to defeat a Boss in Fortnite, such as targeting the Broadcast Tower bosses or the Medallion bosses. The Medallion Bosses can often be easier to take down by engaging with their convoy rather than confronting them directly at their location on the map.
This season, bosses can spawn in their home POIs or in traveling convoys marked on the map. Landing on these convoys allows you to access a significant amount of firepower that can help in defeating the boss. One popular method is to land directly on a convoy and follow these steps:
- Land on top of the Battle Bus following the Boss car
- Use your pickaxe to kill one grunt on the weapon turrets
- Take over his turret
- Drill the car in front with explosives until you destroy the boss’s shield

- The boss will get out of the car, allowing you to fire directly at them
- If the Battle Boss’s health gets low, jump into the turret of the boss car for protection
- This method speeds up the process and eliminates the need for looting

Alternatively, you can target the broadcast tower bosses which spawn mid-game and are relatively easier to defeat. These bosses also count towards the quest.
If you prefer a more traditional approach, you can head to a Fortnite POI where a boss is located, like Brutal Beachead where you find Megalo Don in Fortnite, and engage in the fight. This method has been popular since Chapter 2.
Overall, these alternative methods provide easier ways to defeat a boss in Fortnite. However, you can still opt for the standard POI approach if preferred. Just keep in mind that the Nitrodrone boss won’t spawn until later in the game.
