Look North World, a UGC platform games developer and publisher, has secured an additional $2.25 million in funding, bringing their total seed funding to $4.5m.
This round of funding, led by London Venture Partners, included Bandai Namco Entertainment, Overwolf, Crush Ventures, Hasbro, Pix Capital, and other investors.
Founded last year by former Bungie founder and CEO Alexander Seropian, Look North World plans to use the funding to expedite the development of original games, with 15 titles currently in progress.
The company has previously released five games on Unreal Engine for Fortnite (UEFN) and two premium mods for ARK: Survival Ascended, including the successful ARK x Power Rangers mod.
Creator label
Alongside the funding announcement, Look North World introduced a creator label program to support individuals creating content on platforms like Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft.
The first title under this initiative, Dream Job Tycoon, has already been launched, with signed creators including Austin ‘TomJank’ Rodriguez and Jon ‘SightedSloth’ Jungemann.
As part of the creator label, Look North World offers services such as a guaranteed advance, ownership of IP, marketing support, and artistic and technical assistance.
Look North World CEO Alex Seropian commented, “There is a significant shift happening in the gaming industry, changing how games are created and released. Our creator label is designed to support creators and take risks on games that might not otherwise be developed.”
