Arjun Pillai, former Chief Data Officer at ZoomInfo, felt the entrepreneurial itch after successfully founding and selling two startups, including Insent, acquired by ZoomInfo in 2021. His passion for startups and experience in sales tech led him to launch DocketAI, a virtual sales engineer powered by generative AI.
In August 2023, Pillai left ZoomInfo to start DocketAI, which recently secured a $15 million Series A funding led by Mayfield and Foundation Capital. Recognizing the inefficiency and high cost of deploying sales engineers on every call, Pillai saw an opportunity to create an AI version that assists salespeople with technical questions and documentation.
DocketAI complements sales engineers by providing quick technical insights and support with drafting RFPs. This technology enables sales teams to focus on strategic enterprise deals while improving efficiency.
DocketAI’s AI technology learns from top salespeople’s actions, allowing it to scale best practices company-wide and increase productivity and win rates for sales organizations. The platform integrates and indexes data from various applications, providing a centralized search engine for workplace data.
Since its launch earlier this year, DocketAI has been gaining traction and acquiring new enterprise-level customers monthly. Pillai revealed that their customers range from smaller businesses with 15 seats to large corporations with 10,000 seats, including notable companies like ZoomInfo and Demandbase.
