Valve Introduces Game-Changing Update for Dust 2 in CS2
The latest CS2 update from Valve has brought a significant change to Dust 2, potentially altering the game’s meta on this iconic map. Despite Dust 2’s recent reintroduction to the CS2 map pool, Valve is already tweaking gameplay elements to keep things exciting.
The adjustment on A-site just below Short allows players to quickly jump up alone thanks to the raised boxes. Previously, players needed assistance from a teammate for this maneuver, impacting the flow of the game. This small change has the potential to make a huge difference in high-level play, particularly affecting CTs peeking Mid from Short and influencing T-side strategies.
Moreover, this update has implications for retakes on Dust 2’s A-site, as even with one CT left, the new jump spot becomes a threat for Ts. While it may take some time for players to adapt to this change, it adds a fresh dynamic to gameplay across all skill levels.
In addition to the Dust 2 modifications, the update includes various improvements such as the addition of official game servers in London, miscellaneous clipping adjustments on Nuke, and updates to Assembly and Memento maps from the CS2 Workshop. Notably, the Major trophies for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 winners NAVI are now displayed on their player profiles.
