Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by understanding their relationships. The difficulty of each new puzzle varies, and like Wordle, players can track their streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. And if you still can’t solve it, we’ll provide the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid with 16 words and you must organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game titles, book series, colors, restaurant names, etc.
While some words may seem to fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid for better visibility. Each group is color-coded from easiest (yellow) to most difficult (purple).
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed with the connecting theme revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, and you only have four before the game ends.
