Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges players to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets daily at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, players can track their winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with solving today’s Connections puzzle, you can find tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you are presented with a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be anything from titles of video game franchises, book series sequels, shades of red, names of chain restaurants, and more.
While some words may fit multiple themes, there is only one correct answer. Players can shuffle the grid of words to better visualize potential connections.
Each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Select four words and hit Submit. If correct, the four words will be removed, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, with only four mistakes allowed before the game ends.
