I know it may seem odd to discuss Christmas in July, but while browsing Amazon for Prime Day 2024 deals, I stumbled upon a great offer for the compact yet powerful Xgimi MoGo 2 Pro. This excellent portable projector played a crucial role in saving Christmas for my family.
Allow me to paint the picture. I reside in Canada, a country often associated with snow. However, contrary to popular belief, we had an unusually snowless Christmas last year. The absence of snow outside our living room window dampened the festive spirit, especially for my 12-year-old daughter. The dreary view only added to the lack of holiday cheer.
However, on Christmas Eve, a magical moment occurred. Having previously reviewed the Xgimi MoGo Pro 2 1080p smart projector, I knew it was one of the best portable movie gadgets around. The setup was incredibly simple. About the size of a Sonos One speaker, I placed the projector on the coffee table and aimed it at the blinds. The auto keystone and focus features effortlessly adjusted and straightened the image, while the Android TV operating system provided quick access to YouTube and popular streaming services. It also supported external streaming devices via HDMI and featured an 8-watt built-in speaker. For enhanced audio, it could be paired with another sound source via Bluetooth.
