The highly anticipated Crownfall Act 3 update finally arrived on June 39 (July 9) in Valve’s calendar, bringing with it two cosmetics updates that left Dota 2 skin connoisseurs in awe.

Dota 2 Hero Base for Arcana effects
Introducing Hero Base, a new cosmetic slot available for Juggernaut and Pudge heroes. These slots allow players to equip the special effects of the Arcana skins, Bladeform Legacy and The Feast of Abscession, respectively. What sets this update apart is that players can now equip specific parts of the Arcana, such as Juggernaut’s headpiece and Pudge’s backpiece, in their respective slots, creating a more cohesive set combo.
With the traditional limitation of having to replace Arcana skins in certain slots to use high-quality sets effectively, the Hero Base feature opens up new possibilities for customization and style.

The Hero Base feature debuts with the Crownfall Collector’s Cache, featuring ultra-rare sets for Juggernaut and Pudge that have garnered high praise for their phenomenal designs.

Hero Base for every Arcana
The Dota 2 community has expressed widespread interest in expanding the Hero Base concept to include all heroes with an Arcana skin, such as Rubick, Zeus, Shadow Fiend, and especially Lina.
Lina’s Arcana, the first ever released, while once popular, now pales in comparison to newer Arcana skins in terms of visual effects and design. Introducing a Hero Base for Lina, while retaining iconic design elements like her fiery hairstyle, would revitalize the hero and provide more customization options for players.
Building on previous successful features like the ability to equip Immortal items’ customized skill effects without the item itself, the Hero Base concept offers players more flexibility in creating unique sets without sacrificing their favorite cosmetic items.
