Is the OnePlus Nord 4 the most aesthetically pleasing Nord phone to date? It’s certainly the most daring, being the first to experiment with materials in an intriguing way. The Nord 4 features an all-metal unibody design, a rarity in modern smartphones that typically use a combination of metal and glass.
A metal unibody means that the phone’s chassis is crafted from a single piece of metal, providing a seamless and comfortable feel in hand. The absence of any sharp edges or uncomfortable ridges enhances the ergonomic design. Even the antenna bands are seamlessly integrated into the surface for a sleek look and feel.
While the back of the OnePlus Nord 4 is predominantly metal, the top camera module is made of glass and houses two cameras and two flash units. The device comes in a striking Mercurial Silver color, as well as a black version called Obsidian Midnight. The aluminum back has a two-tone appearance and a subtly textured finish that resists fingerprints and smudges.
The phone features the beloved Alert Slider on the left side, a signature of OnePlus devices. The placement of the slider may be slightly inconvenient, but it remains a handy feature. The right side houses the power key and volume rocker, while the bottom includes a SIM tray, USB-C port, and speaker outlet.
The OnePlus Nord 4 joins a lineup of recent releases from OnePlus, including the Nord CE 4 Lite, OnePlus 12, and OnePlus 12R. The company has an upcoming launch event on July 16 to unveil more details about the OnePlus Nord 4.
