The Esports World Cup Foundation, the organization behind the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, has recently announced a partnership with global e-commerce giant Amazon.
Esports World Cup x Amazon – Official E-Commerce Partner
As per the announcement, the partnership will see Amazon prominently featured across the Esports World Cup platform through a dedicated Hub on their Saudi and UAE websites. The Hub will showcase special offers and provide all necessary information about the esports event, including live stream details. Additionally, ticket buyers through Amazon will receive exclusive discount codes.
This collaboration comes on the heels of the commencement of the Esports World Cup, a premier global competitive event scheduled to span nearly two months in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event garnered attention by offering a combined prize pool of $60 million across nearly 20 different esports titles, with several games featuring multi-million dollar prizes to be distributed among participants.
However, the Esports World Cup has also faced criticism regarding its association with the Saudi Arabian government and its human rights record.
EWC Expands its Partnership Portfolio
Amazon now joins a growing roster of commercial partners for the EWC. Alongside the e-commerce giant, the Esports World Cup Foundation has secured partnerships with leading brands such as LG UltraGear, TikTok, Pepsi, Unilever, Adidas, Aramco, and more.
“The partnership with Amazon marks a significant milestone for the Esports World Cup,” stated Mohammed Al Nimer, Sales Director at the Esports World Cup Foundation. “Together, we are shaping an unparalleled experience for gaming enthusiasts, blending the thrill of live esports with the convenience of online shopping.
“Amazon recognizes the potential of esports as the future of entertainment for audiences in the MENA region and beyond. I am thrilled that local gamers will have a dedicated online platform to engage with the Esports World Cup and witness this historic event unfold in Riyadh.”
