Coffee Stain Studios announced the official launch of its simulation game Satisfactory in version 1.0 on September 10. The game, which has been in early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store since March 2019, has already sold 5.5 million copies and received numerous updates. Coffee Stain promises a “heartwarming conclusion” to the early access story in the 1.0 release.
Over the past five years, the open-world factory building game has received eight major updates, all driven by extensive fan feedback. The upcoming 1.0 update will introduce new gameplay features, including the highly anticipated ability to flush the HUB toilet. The announcement of the 1.0 launch was made during a “Lo-Fi Satisfactory Vibes” livestream by Coffee Stain.
Coffee Stain is now part of Coffee Stain & Friends, a new entity formed after splitting from Embracer Group. Satisfactory is part of the Premium side of the business, alongside popular IPs such as Deep Rock Galactic, Valheim, and Goat Simulator.
