Microsoft has announced an exciting lineup of eight games coming to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service in the first half of July. Among these titles is the highly acclaimed indie game Neon White, making its debut on the Xbox platform through the subscription service.
Neon White was originally released on other platforms in 2022 and was created by Angel Matrix, a studio founded by Ben Esposito, known for Donut County. Unlike traditional first-person shooters like Doom or Call of Duty, this game introduces a unique gameplay mechanic where players use cards to deploy weapons, merging combat with platforming challenges. The result is a game that leans more towards a speedrunning-focused puzzle platformer.
With its innovative gameplay and engaging storyline exploring the afterlife of a group of criminals, Neon White is a must-play title now available on Xbox Game Pass. In addition to Neon White, other great indie games like The Case of the Golden Idol, Tchia, and Flock are also part of the lineup for this month.
