Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game challenges you to categorize a pool of 16 words into four secret groups by identifying how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets every night at midnight with varying degrees of difficulty. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, check out our tips and hints below. If you still can’t solve it, the answers are provided at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to organize them into four sets of four by identifying the connections between them. These connections could be related to video game franchises, book series, colors, restaurant names, and more.
There may be words that fit multiple themes, but only one answer is correct. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid to help visualize the connections better.
Each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
Select four words and click Submit. If correct, the words will be removed, and the connecting theme will be revealed. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, and you have four mistakes before the game ends.
