If you’re curious about LoL Swarm, here’s a rundown of the new game mode making its way to League of Legends.
What is LoL Swarm?
Swarm is the exciting new PvE game mode coming to League of Legends as part of the summer event. Set in the Anima Squad universe, players will team up to take on waves of Primordian enemies while unlocking improved items and unique combat abilities.
Once you’ve completed the League of Legends Tutorial, Swarm will be accessible to all players. The mode includes four different maps, each culminating in an epic boss battle.
How to Play
Unlike the standard Summoners’ Rift mode, Swarm utilizes the WASD keys for movement and cursor control for aiming during combat. Each character, known as a fighter in this mode, possesses distinct statistics and can acquire powerups and equipment to enhance their fighting prowess (up to 4 additional weapons and 6 skills).
There are 9 playable fighters in Swarm, and you can queue solo or in a party of four. The available champions include:
- Jinx
- Seraphine
- Aurora
- Illaoi
- Leona
- Xayah
- Yasuo
- Riven
- Briar
As you progress in the game, you’ll unlock abilities at levels 3 and 6 after starting with just your Passive. Earn XP by defeating enemies to level up, allowing you to choose one of three Augments each time you reach a new level.
Release Date
LoL Swarm is expected to launch alongside Patch 14.14 on Wednesday, July 17. The introduction of the new champion, Aurora, will coincide with this update, marking a significant event for season 14.
