If you’re curious about LoL Swarm, here’s a breakdown of the new game mode that will be making its way to League of Legends.
LoL Swarm – An Exciting New Game Mode
Swarm is the latest PvE game mode coming to League of Legends as part of the summer event. Set in the Anima Squad universe, Swarm will require players to join forces to take down waves of Primordian enemies, unlock enhanced items, and acquire unique combat skills.
Access to Swarm will be granted to all players who have completed the League of Legends Tutorial. The mode will feature four distinct maps, each culminating in a challenging boss battle.
How to Play Swarm
Unlike the usual Summoners’ Rift gameplay, Swarm involves using the WASD keys for movement and aiming with the cursor to engage enemies. Each character, referred to as a fighter in this mode, possesses distinct stats and can enhance their combat abilities by collecting powerups and equipment (up to 4 extra weapons and 6 skills).
There are a total of 9 playable fighters in Swarm, and players can queue up solo or as part of a four-person team. The available champions include Jinx, Seraphine, Aurora, Illaoi, Leona, Xayah, Yasuo, Riven, and Briar.
Initially, players will only have access to their Passive ability and will unlock additional skills at levels 3 and 6. Experience points are earned by defeating enemies, allowing players to choose one of three Augments upon leveling up.
Release Date for League of Legends Swarm Mode
Swarm is expected to launch alongside the release of LoL Patch 14.14 on Wednesday, July 17. The introduction of the new champion, Aurora, will also coincide with this update, marking a significant milestone for season 14.
