China-based Vivo has launched the Vivo Pad 3, which is poised to be one of the top Android tablets of the year, offering stiff competition to the new iPad Air (2024).
The Vivo Pad 3 features a 12.1-inch LCD with a 2,800 x 1,968 resolution and a 7:5 screen ratio. The display boasts a P3 gamut, 600 nits peak brightness, and HDR10 support, along with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, the tablet also includes a 10,000mAh battery with 44 watts rapid charging through its USB-C port.
Additionally, the tablet sports an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera, and a six-speaker setup with 3D panoramic audio. It is compatible with the Vivo Pencil and Keyboard, and comes in blue, purple, and gray color options.
The Vivo Pad 3 excels in various aspects compared to the iPad Air (2024), offering a larger display, better refresh rate, larger battery, and a more affordable starting price of $345, as opposed to the iPad Air starting at $599.
For those considering the 13-inch iPad Air (2024), Vivo offers the 13.1-inch Vivo Pad 3 Pro at around $480, while the base model 13-inch iPad Air costs $799.
The Vivo Pad 3 is now available for pre-order in China on Vivo’s official website, with sales commencing on Friday, July 5.
