Publisher THQ Nordic recently announced that Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, the updated version of the 2011 Wii game, will be released on September 24 for all current platforms. Preorders are now available.
Unlike the original, which was exclusive to the Wii, Rebrushed will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Early preorders will receive the Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Costume Pack with three unique Mickey outfits. Additionally, players can enjoy early access to the game, excluding PC users.
While most players will opt for the $60 digital version, THQ Nordic also unveiled a collector’s edition now available for preorder. This edition includes a physical copy for chosen platforms.
The collector’s edition, priced at $200, includes various extra items such as a steelbook, a Mickey Mouse paintbrush statue, an Oswald the Lucky Rabbit keychain, a vintage Mickey Mouse tin sign, six postcards, and the Epic Mickey: Rebrushed costume pack.
Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a revamp of the original Epic Mickey game from 2011, directed by Warren Spector. The remake, spearheaded by Purple Lamp, addresses the control issues of the original and has been rebuilt with new controls optimized for the Switch.
