Appointment scheduling service Calendly has redesigned its browser extension to enhance schedule management features and make scheduling faster.
The new extension, available for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Outlook, includes a ‘Meetings’ tab for managing and joining, canceling, or rescheduling meetings booked through Calendly. The extension also features a ‘Contacts’ tab to view upcoming meetings and meeting history with contacts.
Users can share links to different types of meetings and easily book follow-up calls with current meeting participants.
Calendly now allows users to book multiple meetings within one time slot and prioritize one meeting over another. The company is considering adding intelligence to assist with prioritization in the future.
Additionally, Calendly introduces a feature for team members to book calls on behalf of teammates with their permission to edit calendars.
Calendly aims to reduce time spent switching between websites and applications with its extension and integrations with tools like Gmail and LinkedIn.
Looking beyond scheduling
Calendly plans to become a comprehensive meeting lifecycle product, offering features to help users prepare for, gain insights during, and follow up on meetings. Integration with meeting transcription tools and CRM platforms is also on the horizon.
Using AI to make meeting tools smarter
Calendly is exploring AI integration to leverage meeting data and CRM knowledge for a more informed meeting experience. The company aims to enhance its product by providing a comprehensive view of meetings across different platforms.
