Strands is a fresh daily puzzle concept from the renowned New York Times. A more challenging take on the traditional word search, it requires a sharp eye to conquer.
Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can present a challenge on certain days. There’s no harm in seeking a bit of assistance when needed. If you’re stuck and looking for today’s Strands puzzle solutions, you can find them below.
How to play Strands
In every Strands puzzle, your objective is to uncover the “theme words” hidden within the grid of letters. Use your manipulation skills by dragging or tapping on letters to form words; double-tap the final letter to confirm. Upon discovering the correct word, the letters will be highlighted in blue and become unselectable.
Even if you come across a word that isn’t a theme word, it can still be beneficial. For every three non-theme words that are at least four letters long, you’ll receive a hint – the letters of a theme word will be unveiled, and you just need to unscramble it.
Each letter in the grid is utilized to spell out the theme words without any overlap. Every letter is used precisely once.
Every puzzle incorporates a “spangram,” a special theme word (or words) describing the puzzle’s theme and connecting two opposing sides of the board. Upon locating the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The aim is to complete the puzzle promptly without relying heavily on hints.
