If you rushed and ended up with a boring username when creating your CoD Mobile account, don’t worry! You can change it to something more attention-grabbing. Activision allows you to modify your CoD Mobile name at any time, but there are specific steps you need to follow.
So, without further ado, here’s a guide on how to change your name in CoD Mobile and stand out from the crowd.
How to Change Your CoD Mobile Name?
The only way to change your CoD Mobile name is by purchasing the Rename Card, which costs 500 COD points (CP). Follow these steps:
- Launch CoD Mobile and log in to your account.
- Tap your Name at the top of the main screen.
- Tap the second tab to open your Player Profile.
- Tap the Edit icon at the end of your Name.
- Enter your new Name and then tap Change.
- If you don’t have a Rename Card, you will be prompted to purchase one.
Please note: If your name was changed by Activision and you received a Rename Card, you’ll still need to wait three days before you can change your name. Additionally, the name must be within 14 characters and cannot contain offensive words.
Alternatively, you can change your name for free by connecting your Call of Duty account with Facebook in the settings menu. Uninstall the game, reinstall it from the app store, and sign in with your Facebook-connected account to create a new name.
However, using this method may result in progress loss, so it’s safer to stick to the official Rename Card method, especially if you’re not willing to spend money.
