Connections is a challenging puzzle game from the New York Times where you categorize 16 words into four groups by finding their connections. The game resets daily at midnight with varying difficulty levels. Similar to Wordle, you can track your streak and compete with friends.
If you’re struggling with today’s puzzle, check out our tips below. And if you’re still stuck, we’ll reveal the answers at the end.
How to play Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words and your goal is to group them into sets of four based on their connections. These connections could be related to video game titles, book series, colors, restaurant names, and more.
While some words may fit different themes, there’s only one correct answer. You can shuffle and rearrange the words to help visualize the connections.
Each group is color-coded from yellow (easiest) to purple (hardest). Select four words and click Submit. Correct answers will reveal the theme, but incorrect guesses count as mistakes with only four allowed.
