Introducing Strands, a fresh daily puzzle experience from the renowned New York Times. A more challenging twist on the traditional word search, solving this puzzle will put your observation skills to the test.
Similar to popular games like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, cracking the Strands puzzle can be quite tricky on some days. Don’t hesitate to seek assistance if needed. For today’s solutions to the Strands puzzle, refer to the completed puzzle below.
How to play Strands
Your objective in every Strands puzzle is to uncover the “theme words” hidden within the letter grid. Use drag or tap gestures to manipulate letters and form words; double-tap the last letter to confirm your word. Correct words will be highlighted in blue and become unselectable.
Even if you come across non-theme words, they can still provide assistance. For every three non-theme words of at least four letters each that you find, you’ll receive a hint — revealing the letters of one of the theme words for unscrambling.
Every letter in the grid is utilized to spell out the theme words without any overlap. Each letter is used exactly once.
Each puzzle features a “spangram,” a unique theme word (or words) describing the puzzle’s theme and connecting two opposite sides of the board. Discovering the spangram will highlight it in yellow.
The aim is to complete the puzzle swiftly and minimize the use of hints.
