With the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 set to begin tomorrow, there has been a last-minute change in the Russian roster. The team 9Pandas has been replaced by GamerLegion. 9Pandas faced ongoing visa issues and despite PGL extending their deadlines, they were only able to get three eligible players into the country by the required deadline of March 14th.
Devastation for 9Pandas
This news is devastating for 9Pandas, who managed to qualify for the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 EU RMR through the Last Chance Qualifier, even defeating Astralis along the way. The veteran player seized is particularly disappointed as he was looking forward to attending his first Major since ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018.
Replacing 9Pandas is GamerLegion, led by the legendary player Snax. GamerLegion was the runner-up in the Last Chance Qualifier, making them a worthy replacement. As finalists of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, it would be strange to see a Major without GamerLegion.
Still no PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 stickers
Surprisingly, with just one day left before the tournament, PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 stickers are not yet available in-game. It was rumored that there were issues with player autograph stickers, but now it seems that the delay is due to the roster change.
Valve may not release the 9Pandas stickers that were already in the game files. The focus now shifts to getting GamerLegion stickers and autographs approved and into the game before the tournament kicks off tomorrow.
