If you own a Samsung Galaxy A series smartphone, be on the lookout for an upcoming software update that will introduce the Circle to Search feature, one of the most beneficial Galaxy AI features. Initially launched with the Galaxy S24 series, Circle to Search allows users to perform a visual search with Google by simply circling, highlighting, or tapping objects on the screen.
This feature is designed for speed and convenience, eliminating the need to leave an app or specify a search query. Whether it’s an unfamiliar clothing item or an unidentified animal, Circle to Search provides instant information with a simple gesture. The update will be available for the Samsung Galaxy A55, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy A34.
Rumors about Samsung bringing Galaxy AI features to the A Series phones have been circulating, and the company’s commitment to expanding AI functionality to a broader audience is evident in this new software update. TM Roh, Samsung’s president and head of mobile experience, emphasized the goal to empower users with advanced AI technology.
While Circle to Search is part of the Galaxy AI suite, it is not an exclusive feature and can also be found on Google Pixel phones. The rollout of this feature may indicate a larger update process for the A Series devices, but their less powerful processors could limit access to more advanced AI features.
Following the update for the Galaxy A Series smartphones, the Circle to Search functionality will also be added to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ tablets. Samsung plans to start distributing the software update in August, although availability may vary by region.
