July has been a strong month for Xbox Game Pass with a selection of high-quality games being added. Despite a recent price increase causing some controversy, the new additions to the service this month are definitely worth checking out. Many games are being added to the service on their release day, making it even more appealing. This week, Xbox Game Pass reached a major milestone by adding a Call of Duty game for the first time ever. If you’re looking for new games to play this weekend, these additions are a must-try.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has finally arrived on Xbox Game Pass. This latest installment in the series offers a story-driven campaign, zombie mode, and multiplayer experience. While it may not be the best Call of Duty game, its availability on Xbox Game Pass eliminates the need to spend $70 on it. Hopefully, more Call of Duty titles will be added to the service in the future. The PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and the Cross-Gen Bundle for Xbox One and Xbox Series X are now included in Xbox Game Pass. Please note that it’s not playable on Xbox Cloud Gaming yet, and it is still available for purchase on PlayStation consoles.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn has joined Xbox Game Pass on the day of its launch this month. This action RPG offers a fresh take on the genre with fast-paced gameplay focusing on movement and platforming. Players have a flintlock gun and a magical creature named Enki to aid them in battles. Described as a “Soulslite,” Flintlock is enjoyable even for those who are not fans of the genre. The game is available on PC, console, and cloud with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and it’s also playable on PS5.
Magical Delicacy
If you’re into indie games, don’t miss Magical Delicacy on Xbox Game Pass. In this game, you manage a shop where you cook food and brew potions while exploring the mysterious town of Grat. Offering a blend of Metroidvania elements with cooking mechanics, the game delivers a heartwarming story of self-discovery. Magical Delicacy is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and cloud with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. It will also be coming to Nintendo Switch on August 15.
