I’ve always had a soft spot for leather. Maybe it’s the metalhead in me, or the nostalgic scent of a baseball glove from my youth.
As I’ve grown older, my love for leather has only intensified. From belts to wallets, and especially phone cases. So, when I came across the Nomad Magnetic Leather Back, I knew I had to get one.
It’s a simple product – utilizing MagSafe connection and micro-suction pads to secure the back to the iPhone while leaving the sides and front unprotected. The exposed buttons add to the user experience, and so far, it’s been working great.
Putting on the Nomad Magnetic Leather Back sparked a sense of nostalgia. A leather case is one thing, but a leather back is a different story. It reminded me of a time, about a decade ago, when phones were more adventurous in design.
Moto X’s customizable design in 2013 and LG G4’s swappable covers in 2015 brought a whole new dimension to smartphone fashion. The Horween leather on the Moto X and LG G4 not only looked and felt fantastic but also aged gracefully, standing out from the crowd.
Thinking back to those days, the Nomad Magnetic Leather Back evoked a sense of nostalgia. It was a time when phones embraced unique designs and were not immediately concealed by protective cases. Motorola and LG may have been ahead of their time with their daring choices in smartphone aesthetics.
